Opal Card

In Sydney, the Opal Card serves as a payment option for public transportation, similar to Japan's Suica. You have the option of purchasing an Opal Card online or at a convenience store or supermarket, and the card itself is free. Alternatively, you can use public transportation by tapping a credit or debit card with an IC chip. This method is slightly pricier, but it eliminates the need for an Opal Card.
